Father Giuseppe arrived in Kalongo in 1956 to manage a small medical dispensary in the heart of Ugandan savannah. In a matter of a few years, thanks to him that small centre became a modern and efficient hospital.
Kalongo Hospital is the only health facility in a poor and isolated area, serving a total population of about 500,000 people.
